#170 MEGASODE PREVIEW: “A CAREER MAKING PICTURES OF WHAT I LOVE”
Well two days in… here we are, new Year. I don’t know about you, but we had a temporary moratorium on the no swearing rule in our house at exactly midnight as 2020 ticked away into 2021. The kids were given one minute to vent their feelings about the out going year. Tick Tock it seems has a lot to answer for.
This show is a preview of the one hour fifty special that is available through the new Patreons tab. Three main guests and some snapshot interviews to get you thinking about belief, handling rejection and social media.
Starting this month, Tuesday and Thursday snapshot editions are on the Patreon channel, a mixture of five minute features; private chats with guests when the interview stopped rolling formally, additional Photowalk link material, Q&A with patrons only, extra nuggets of creative and business advice from our guests, studio BTS footage, books, websites etc all bite sized form on the Patreon platform. We’re building a community brick by brick where you have the chance to talk with other photographers, ask them questions and get involved in debate all for the price of a fancy coffee and cake each month. See? New Year, new habits… I’ve swapped you out of one cake a month into a community of like minded thinkers where even just one bit of healthy advice a month will be far better for our waistlines and the creative side of our brain.
Right, what’s in the preview?
I talk today with established and recognised working London commercial and portrait photographer Neale Haynes about his first break as a sports photographer and compositing, conceptual photography and art with New York portrait photographer Bill Wadman. It’s a kind of workshop where we talk about particular images, plus we roll our sleeves up to find out what’s best, comping, or reality… or if that’s even relevant? Examples of Bill’s work below. Within the Patreon edition there’s a downloadable full resolution zip folder with before and after creations.
